Stonefield Castle

Stonefield Castle is the perfect example of Scottish baronial architecture and offers guests the ultimate rural retreat. Built in 1837, this striking and regal castle still retains much of its original furnishings, wood panelling, ornate ceilings and beautiful marble fireplaces. Set in 60 acres of spectacular woodland gardens, lapped by the shores of Loch Fyne, Stonefield Castle is based just two miles from the pretty fishing village of Tarbert, one of the most inviting villages on the Mull of Kintyre peninsula. The hotel offers 36 individually and tastefully decorated en-suite bedrooms, three of which boast four-poster beds, with views over the gardens and Loch Fyne itself. The restaurant at Stonefield Castle provides guests with the chance to sample the very best of all that is Scottish and is renowned for its delicious and locally sourced beef and seafood, whilst there is also an extensive and carefully curated selection of fine wines to complement the menu. With enchanting views overlooking Loch Fyne and its lush green surroundings, it’s easy to see why this is the setting for a memorable wedding or celebratory celebration!

Exclusive hire of Stonefield Castle starts from £10,000 for two nights on a bed and breakfast basis.

Tulloch Castle

Tulloch Castle dates as far back as the 12th century, when the Bains and later the Clan Davidson laid claim to its lands. Like its colourful and lively history, the castle’s fortunes have changed many times. Presently standing as a magnificent hotel, it beautifully retains many of the authentic period features, including the 250-year old panelled Great Hall, as well as its painstakingly restored original fireplaces and grand ceilings. In days of old, only the Laird or the Chief of the Clan could enjoy a relaxing stay in a Scottish Highland castle – thankfully, times have changed. Tulloch Castle offers 20 stately en-suite bedrooms, each with their own unique character, charm and story to tell. Guests of Tulloch Castle are received warmly and can expect splendid hospitality, comfortable surroundings and superb food. This Highland castle is also a pet-friendly hotel, and happily welcomes guests with canine companions.

Exclusive hire of Tulloch Castle starts from £4,420 for two nights on a bed and breakfast basis.
